Colfax Transportation Improvement Study
Two meetings in February of the Colfax Corridor Connections will provide information and seek further input from the community about initial multimodal improvement concepts for Denver’s most famous avenue. A collaboration between Denver Public Works, the Regional Transportation District, the Denver Regional Council of Governments and the City of Aurora, the project seeks to improve mobility and accessibility challenges in the East Colfax corridor through a community input process. CCC began in August 2012 as an 18-month, $3 million dollar project funded mainly through a grant from the Federal Transit Administration. The second round of meetings will take place on two evenings in February in Denver and Aurora: on February 27 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1555 Grant St., Denver, from 6 to 8 p.m.; and again (with same information provided) on February 28 at North Middle School, 12095 Montview Blvd., Aurora, from 6 to 8 p.m.
