RECORD-BREAKING ATTENDANCE AT THE DENVER ZOO

The opening of the Toyota Elephant Passage played a role in bringing a record 2,065,410 people to the Denver Zoo in 2012, the highest in the zoo’s 117-year history. The 2012 attendance number beat the previous attendance record set in 1995 of 1,958,842,
many who came to say farewell to the zoo’s famous polar bears Klondike and Snow before they moved to Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida.
