Volunteer

GPHC is a volunteer-based organization. All our programs are sustained and supported primarily by volunteers with the help of a small staff. We have a diverse array of volunteer opportunities that range in timing, location, and intensity.

Food Programs

Food programs opportunities include the Emergency Food Pantry (Mondays and Wednesdays weekly), Weekend Food Program (1-2 times per month), and Thanksgiving Giveaway (various one-time opportunities).  Read more about our food programs here.

Gardening

Help us maintain our garden, located in the back of our building. We grow vegetables to support our food programs and we need many hands to help throughout the week.

Newspaper

The Greater Park Hill News utilizes volunteers to bundle and deliver our newspapers. Distribution volunteers or “blockworkers” are needed to deliver newspapers to households in Park Hill. Click here for more information.

Special Events

We have 3 event committees including the Garden Walk, Parade, and the Home Tour and Street Fair. Each of these requires dedicated planning committee members as well as many, many day-of-event volunteers. Click to learn more about the events and consider volunteering  for one or all!
