Together Colorado Hosts Over 1,200 at Statewide Public Action Meeting
About 30 people from Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church attended the launch of Together Colorado on Tuesday, April 24 at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Aurora – including former first lady Bea Romer whose father, Dr. Arthur Miller, was a senior pastor at the church from 1947-67. Over 1,200 people pledged to work for social justice, including health and education reform. Formerly the Metro Organization for People, Together Colorado is a non-partisan, faith-based social justice organization housed at the church on 1980 Dahlia. “I believe that, to live my faith, I must stand up for social justice,” said Peggy Gonder, one of the organization’s long-time volunteers.
