Park Hill Women Elected to COCA Board
Park Hill residents Donna Good and Elizabeth Boudreau recently joined the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA) Board. The organization’s mission is to promote awareness about ovarian cancer through advocacy, education and support.
Boudreau, who is a highly-experienced fundraising executive, currently serves as vice-president of development for PROJECT C.U.R.E., directing all fundraising and outreach activities. Boudreau is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Denver, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in art history and a master’s degree in cultural administration. A Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, Boudreau is the recipient of numerous national awards for fundraising expertise, including the PBS National Award for Excellence in Corporate and Foundation Support.
Good, whose career includes success in numerous public service positions, was the president of operations and finance for the Biennial of the Americas: Denver 2010, an international summit and exposition of the arts and cultures of the Western Hemisphere. In addition to developing operational functions for more than 300 events held in July 2010, she oversaw all development efforts to raise $4.5 million in funding. Good previously served as president and chief executive officer of the Center for Women & Enterprise in Boston, was manager of the Denver Department of Human Services and was a policy advisor to former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb. A graduate of the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance, Good earned a master’s degree in information management at Simmons College, Boston, and a Master of Public Administration in public policy/finance at the University of Colorado.
Like many of their fellow COCA board members as well as staff and volunteers, Boudreau and Good have lost friends and family members to ovarian cancer and honor the memory of these loved ones by working to promote awareness of the disease, which is the fifth most common cancer in females in the United States but the deadliest gynecologic cancer.
According to COCA President Mary Phillips, Boudreau has been named to COCA’s executive committee and will chair the organization’s program committee, while Good will help with fund development.
