You read it here first! Spring is here, summer is on the way. Park Hill’s preeminent Garden Walk turns Sweet 16 this year, and preparations are in motion to open 10 stunning gardens in the neighborhood for public viewing.
This year’s garden Walk is Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain or shine, walking through these lovely gardens is a lovey way to welcome summer. Park Hill is fortunate to have many generous gardeners every year who invite us into their beautiful and creative spaces.
And what exciting gardens you will see again this year! Come in, take a look, step through open gates welcoming you into fragrant rose gardens, patios designed to relax bodies, minds and spirits, pools and streams where fish play year ’round.
Among all the natural beauty you will also enjoy the creative work of many fine Colorado artists, who will be in the gardens that day, demonstrating their skills.
Last year the Garden Walk raised more than $10,000 for Greater Park Hill Community, Inc.. Proceeds benefited the neighborhood organization’s food bank as well as the many other programs the community offers.
Ticket prices will remain the same as last year; adults pay $12 and seniors 65-plus pay $10 when purchased early. On the day of the tour, ticket prices increase to $15. Make sure to check for all details on when and where early ticket sales will be available in the May issue of the Greater Park Hill News. Information and more photos from last year’s Garden Walk is at parkhillgardenwalk.org.
