Park Hill Garden Walk Blooms Again
Flowers, Fishponds, Sculptures On Tap For June 13 Event
By Jean Ercolani
Park Hill Garden Walk Organizer
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that, after having last year’s tradition cancelled due to the pandemic, the Park Hill Garden Walk will be blooming in full color this year.
The Garden Walk is Sunday, June 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eight magnificent neighborhood gardens will be featured, including two in the Mayfair neighborhood just south of Park Hill. As always, area artists will be displaying their work at each garden, and some will be working en plein air. Many will have their artwork available for purchase, in mediums ranging from oil paintings, watercolor, mixed media, acrylic, ceramic sculpture, metal sculpture, jewelry and more.
Attendance will be monitored at each garden so as to avoid overcrowding at any one garden. To help accommodate, this year we have extended the hours of the event to ensure everyone gets to experience all garden glories to their fullest.
You’ll see some spectacular elements this year. A multitude of creative water features, fishponds, unique pottery, stained glass stepping stones and impressive sculptures dot the gardens. A couple of the yards were designed with a cottage garden feel, but with the Colorado climate in mind. Smart water gardens and a garage rooftop garden represent the special and unique features you’ll experience. You won’t want to miss any of it.
Tickets go on sale May 1 at parkhillgardenwalk.org. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors age 65 and over. Children under 12 attend free. Tickets will also be available beginning in May at these retail locations:
