GPHC Community Safety Meeting Seconds
On October 21, in response to concerns raised on social media about recent crimes in Park Hill, GPHC held a Community Safety meeting with Denver Police District 2 Commander Mike Calo, several members of his team, and the D2 dispatch and communications office. Assistant City Attorney Chris Gaddis and Chief Deputy District Attorney Tim Twining also attended. 13 representatives from law enforcement were on hand to answer questions from community members about recent crime stats, the reporting process and crime prevention. It was explained that crime is down in Park Hill overall, but that calls are requested for any suspicious behavior in order to keep our neighborhood safe.
Denver Police’s non-emergency number is 720-913-2000, and you may call 720-913-1094 if you’d like to set up a Neighborhood Watch for your block.
D2 holds regular monthly meetings of the Community Action Board at the D2 Police Station. The next CAB meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6pm.
