Where To Get Help For Food, Rent, and Emergency Business Relief
Rent and Utility Help: The City of Denver has announced efforts to prevent evictions during the coronavirus pandemic. Residents can access up to six months of rent and utility payments through the Temporary Rent and Utility Assistance Program. Call 311 and press 6. Small Business Emergency Relief: The Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) office is working on connecting Denver businesses with resources in the region. Go to the website below and fill out the questionnaire detailing what type of business it is and how it’s being impacted. The DEDO staff will evaluate the information and help you identify what type of support is available for you and your business.

Greater Park Hill Community, Inc.: The Emergency Food Pantry is continuing food distribution on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the office at 2823 Fairfax St. Pre-packed bags, commensurate with family size, are being distributed at the door. The Weekend Food Program is suspended while schools are closed, but families are also encouraged to use the pantry. Food donations are accepted on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Donations can also be dropped at local businesses Cake Crumbs and Bikes Together during their regular hours. All volunteer slots are currently filled, but if you are healthy and would like to be added to the on-call list, email director@greaterparkhill.org. COVID-19 In Colorado: The State of Colorado has created a comprehensive website that is a veritable clearinghouse including information on testing, economic recovery and assistance programs, resources to reduce fear and stress, and the most up-to-date information about the spread of the novel coronavirus, including county-to-county breakdowns. Colorado’s call line for general questions about COVID-19 provides answers in many languages including English, Spanish, Mandarin and more. The numbers are 303-389-1687 or 1-877-462-2911.
