TLC at the Library
by Tara Bannon Williamson
Everyone needs a little TLC sometimes, and unfortunately, that can also apply to buildings. As our many regular customers know, the Park Hill Branch Library building has struggled with temperature control for several years. Carnegie Library buildings are as beautiful and historic as they are difficult to maintain. This was the reason for the recent library closure as we received a completely brand new, redesigned HVAC system. We hope that the increased comfort for our customers, in addition to the energy savings, will make up for the inconvenience of our temporary closure.
If you are in need of a little TLC when it comes to the Affordable Care Act, Denver Public Library and Boomer’s Leading Change in Health is teaming up to educate the community about the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Come see if you are one of the 40,000 Denver residents newly eligible for Medicaid coverage, or if you are eligible for a subsidy (tax credit) that will make your insurance coverage more affordable. Get any questions answered at the Park Hill Branch Library on Tuesday, November 5 from 5-7:45pm.
This holiday season if you feel inclined to include the Park Hill Branch Library on your “Nice List” and wish to bestow a small gift, we invite you to inquire about our donation tree. We will have a small tree with tags that you can take that list modest items such as gently used wooden puzzles, gift certificates to the Dollar Store or King Soopers, and various craft items. We stretch our meager budget best as we are able, and are deeply grateful for any generosity that we are the recipients of.
