Kwanzaa | Friday, Dec. 28, 2 p.m.
Learn about and celebrate Kwanzaa, a cross cultural celebration honoring the African first fruit harvest tradition and promotes universal values of unity, purpose and creativity. Then join Craftsman and Apprentice in this one-hour workshop, each participant will sand, assemble and paint or stain their own wooden kinara to take home.

Coming out recently as part of the #metoo movement with her experience of being sexually harassed by Harvey Weinstein when she was a college student has given her a platform to share widely her research on the consequences of the sexualization and objectification of girls and women.

With a background that ranges from numerous tours as a bouncer with The Rolling Stones, a 25-year career in veterinary medicine (including eleven seasons on the popular Animal Planet television series Emergency Vets), and over 20-years of performing as a professional stand-up comedian, Kevin Fitzgerald is a true renaissance man. Local comedian Jacob Rupp, fresh from his monthly show New Money in Boulder, will kick the laughs off as the featured opener. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Eighteen and over only due to adult content.

Kids and their grown-ups are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve with crafts and fun as we countdown to noon with a balloon drop! Ideal for ages 2 and up. Extra fun: Celebrate the New Year on your face. We will have two professional face painters so the kids can sport some cheek art to celebrate the New Year. Face painting hours from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m..
