Parade Registration Heats Up
Record Early Sign-ups Set Stage For Epic July 4th
By Justin Bresler

The Park Hill 4th of July Parade set the bar high for early registrations in April. With two months to go until the sixth annual march, this year’s event is shaping up to be the biggest and best parade yet.
Register at parkhillparade.org.
Now that May has hit, it’s time for groups around the neighborhood who are thinking about participating in the parade to lock down their plans, rally their friends and family and get signed up. The parade website includes a simple sign-up form and links to photo galleries from previous parades for inspiration and ideas. Remember, have fun and be festive!
And you’ll be in good company. The list of groups already signed up for the parade includes some old favorites and new treats. Groups expected to appear this year include:
• Wands and Wishes – Park Hill’s favorite princesses return. Joining them this year will be some of our favorite superheroes, including a certain shield-carrying soldier who loves his red, white and blue.
• Platinum Diva Princesses – the neighborhood cheerleaders with more energy per pound then any group in the city return for another set of sizzling routines.
• The 501st Legion … Vader’s Fist! What does Star Wars have to do with the 4th of July? Absolutely nothing! But that doesn’t mean we’re not stoked for the return of the baddest Sith of all and his supporting cast of Stormtroopers.
• New this year: the Radha Krishna Temple and their 16-foot long, non-motorized decorated temple. A last minute scratch last year, we are thrilled for their parade debut.
And the list goes, including the Cake Crumbs truck (a parade “lifer”), the return of the Denver Cruisers bike club, pageant queens, the Tiger Kim Tae Kwon Do studio, low riders, classic cars and much more.
The parade, a GPHC, Inc. event, is not possible without the generous support of our sponsors, including this year’s two Title Sponsors: Quebec Square Family Dentistry and Cake Crumbs Bakery. We also thank our Premier Sponsors: Paddington Station Preschool, Denver Math Fellows and Tables Restaurant, and our Sponsors: DenverWelcomeHome.com LLC, Dardano’s School of Gymnastics, Twinkle Together/Music Together, Dee Ciancio Realty, KS107.5, Wands and Wishes Occasions, Dental 911, and the Living Younger Institute.
See you on the 4th!
