Natural Born Leader
Richard Guity-Sanchez finished his summer internship with Greater Park Hill Community, Inc. on July 26, the day after his 16th birthday. This month, Guity-Sanchez heads back to school. He’ll be a junior at the Denver Center for 21st Century Learning, a DPS college-prep middle and high school at 1690 Williams St. that helps students develop critical-thinking skills and cultural and self-awareness. Guity-Sanchez says he eventually hopes to end up in the field of hotel and hospitality management. He’s also interested in marketing, photography and, naturally, cars. “We have loved having Richard here,” says GPHC Executive Director Sierra Fleenor. “He’s created some great fliers, helped with website updates, and has been a client favorite at the food pantry.” Photo by Cara DeGette
