Lady Angels Fall To Regis On Jan. 7
The Denver East Lady Angels lost a physical match at home on Jan. 7 to perennial championship contender Regis Jesuit with a score of 79-54. While the Angels were competitive in the first quarter, Regis’ superior size and outside shooting ended up making the difference over the course of the game. The Lady Angels came into the game ranked in the top 10, while Regis Jesuit was ranked fifth in the 5A Class in Colorado. As of Jan. 22, the East Lady Angels record was 10-5, with a string of consecutive victories over Denver West, Golden and Kennedy High. Photos by Reid Neureiter
