Earth Day at Sand Creek Regional Greenway

Volunteers from the Cairn Youth Program strike a victory pose at the conclusion of Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership/Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado workday on April 21, where over 100 local youth and their families worked to renovate the SCRG’s Smith Road Trail¬head in northeast Denver. The Earth Day event was one of Denver’s larg¬est, and also marked Global Youth Service Day as well as the ten year anniversary of the Sand Creek Regional Greenway’s official opening.
