DPD UPDATE

Technician Amy Esten, the District Two Community Resource Officer, has been promoted to Detective and will be replaced by Technician Reyes Trujillo. To reach the Community Resource Officers, dial the D2 non-emergency number: 720-913-2000. In her last briefing to the GPHC, Esten reported that burglaries are down overall for the year, which she credits to the Neighborhood Watch program. However, problems persist with theft from and criminal mischeif to vehicles. Esten noted that theft of license plates from vehicles should be reported. While police redistricting is in the early stages of discussion, Esten reported that at this point all of Park Hill will remain in District 2. Finally, over 5,000 kids participated in the 19th annual Denver Police Department Halloween Party and Haunted House at the Denver Police Academy.
