Spark Your Imagination
Getting Ready For The Home Tour, Street Fair, Annual Meeting
It’s Home Tour & Street Fair month. As the former organizer of the Park Hill Home Tour & Street Fair, this event holds a special place in my heart. It’s both GPHC’s largest (in terms of dollars raised) and oldest (established in 1978) fundraiser and community event. If you’ve not been, I strongly encourage you to check it out on Sunday, Sept. 8.
If you purchase a ticket to the Home Tour, you will have the opportunity to tour five beautiful and unique Park Hill Homes. You can catch a glimpse of how others live, spark your interior decorating imagination, and take in the design, art, and warmth that you’ll find in these homes.
Whether you tour the homes that day or not, make sure to head over to the Street Fair on Forest Parkway, between 19th and Montview. There you’ll enjoy 100 vendors ranging from artists to auto services, local live music, beer, wine, food, an educational sustainability zone, kids zone with activities for the littles, and even free electronics recycling.
Truly, you do not want to miss out on this Park Hill tradition. The amazing planning committee has been working their tails off, so come and bring all your friends. There is no Broncos game on Sept. 8, so really, what else are you going to do?

We are also gearing up for GPHC’s annual meeting, which will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at the fabulous rooftop event space the Carla Madison Recreation Center, 2401 E Colfax Ave. Dinner is provided and the program includes a keynote presentation, board elections, and volunteer recognition. If you plan to attend, visit greaterparkhill.org/join-us/community-meetings/ and complete the RSVP form.
Voting will take place for representatives of districts 2, 4 , 6, 8 and 10 and additionally for three at-large positions. If you would like to run for one of these board seats, please indicate your interest on the RSVP form or you can call us at 303-388-0918. The deadline to submit your name for the printed ballot is Friday, Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. Write-in candidates are also welcome.
Our September community and board meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at 2823 Fairfax St. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
Thank you to the donors and volunteers who give their time, talent, and treasure. We are grateful to be part of a community that comes together to care for those who need it most.
