Bugland – Little White Butterfly
The Cabbage White (Latin name Pieris rapae), is a species of common white butterflies that are found everywhere in North America, Asia and Europe, though their exact place of origin is yet unknown. These small- to medium-sized butterflies flit about in great numbers, especially during the late spring and the summer months. The butterfly is recognizable by its white color with small black dots on its wings, In Europe the Cabbage White is called the “Small White,” and in New Zealand, where summer is happening right now, it is simply called the White Butterfly.
