Mapping Marijuana
As of October 1, 2013, all licensed legal medical marijuana establishments were eligible to apply for a retail marijuana license. They have the option of surrendering their medical marijuana license or co-locating the medical and retail operations with or without a physical separation between them.
After January 1, 2014, the city will open the application process to any retail marijuana outfit. Those operations will begin receiving licenses on October 1, 2014. Refer to the November 2013 edition of the Z&P column for more information about retail marijuana licensing: greaterparkhill.org/2013/11/01/excise-and-licenses-update.
