Emergency Food Pantry

Greater Park Hill Community, Inc. manages an emergency food pantry Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm at 2823 Fairfax Street. Our food pantry provides a three-day supply of food to neighbors in need. Clients can visit up to nine times per year (not including our Thanksgiving distribution).

If you would like to receive food assistance please bring a photo ID and a piece of current mail with your Park Hill address on it for all adults in your household, as well as documentation (student ID, birth certificate, letter from a school counselor, etc) for children under 18.

Our food pantry is supported by neighbors like you! We are also a proud partner of Food Bank of the Rockies.

 In 2018 we served:

  • 260 households
  • over 700 Greater Park Hill residents

So far in 2019, we have served:

  •  64 households
  • 193 individuals

Each month we receive donations from approximately a dozen individuals and 15 businesses, nonprofits, and faith communities in Greater Park Hill.

Our Food Pantry operates as a zero waste program. Any expired food is either composted on-site or with the City or we send those items to Project: THRIVE! a local animal rescue. According to their website, “Project: THRIVE is a small animal sanctuary where neglected, abused and abandoned farm animals offer children with the same history to come to heal, learn and thrive by developing caring relationships with the animals. We also invite school classes to spend time with our animals who nurture the children’s innate compassion, kindness and cooperation.”
