It’s Kuhl To Recycle: Local And Delicious
CSAs Feature Delicious Fruit And Veggies — And Reduce Packaging

Much of the produce we find in grocery stores is packaged in an array of materials that are not recyclable. These include shrink wrap film, plastic bags, nylon mesh bags, Styrofoam trays, PVC clam-shells, foil and more.
This packaging is needed to protect produce during shipment from far-away places. By contrast, fruits and veggies sourced directly from farms require very little packaging. There’s also the bonus of reduced transportation emissions.
Several Denver area Community Supported Agriculture programs (CSAs) offer you access to weekly deliveries of nutritious, locally grown produce with little packaging — especially during our upcoming growing season. Check out the many CSAs online to find the right one for you and your family.
