Destination Summer: Farmers Markets & Food Stands
In And Around Park Hill
Mondays
GPHC Free Food Stand
Greater Park Hill Community, Inc. holds a Free Farm Stand each week from 10 a.m, to 1 p.m. now through October. The farm stand is at 2823 Fairfax St. and open to everyone. Come and help yourself to some produce, or bring extras from your own garden. Each week the farm stand receives fresh food from Dahlia Campus Farms and Gardens, Denver Food Rescue and neighborhood gardeners. About 3,500 pounds of food is distributed every year. The goal is to ensure fresh delicious food is used by neighbors, rather than ending up as waste. If you want to donate garden extras, but are unable to bring your items in person, sign up for Denver Food Rescue‘s Fresh Food Connect at freshfoodconnect.org. They will pick up your veggies at your door.
