Hug Or Become A Blockworker Today

We at the Greater Park Hill News are proud of our unique delivery system. The Greater Park Hill News has been publishing for 56 years, and the way the newspaper is delivered speaks volumes regarding our sense of community in our neighborhood.
There are approximately 575 blocks in the Park Hill neighborhood. Each month, volunteers – called blockworkers – receive a bundle of newspapers on their doorstep. They then take the newspapers and distribute them to each home on their designated block.
It takes about 15-20 minutes a month. As many a blockworker can attest, it’s a great way to meet your neighbors while getting a little exercise.
We are delighted to unveil a new, interactive volunteer blockworker map, on our new website, at greaterparkhill.org.
The map, at greaterparkhill.org/newspaper/newspaper-delivery/, displays all of the areas in Park Hill where blockworkers have newspaper delivery covered – and which blocks are currently in need of volunteers. When you check it out, please note the blocks in green denote the areas that are currently covered by volunteers. The blocks in grey currently need a volunteer to take over monthly newspaper delivery.
If you live on or near one of the blocks that needs your help, please consider volunteering and becoming a blockworker. If your block is currently covered by a volunteer, you can volunteer to adopt a nearby block. This is a great way to support your community and share our community newspaper.
