Basketball Teams Provide Online Students Offline Experiences

HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-Op launched three basketball teams this year as part of its ongoing effort to engage students in extracurricular activites, which now include a science fair, debate, art show, ping pong club and a spring formal. The three teams – the Hurricanes, the Spartans and the Knights – have a total of 31 student-athletes, some hailing from Park Hill. The teams practice two to three times a week and participate in regular league play and monthly scrimmages. All three HOPE basketball teams ended their season at the post-season “Court of Dreams” tournament played at the Pepsi Center. For more information on HOPE, visit hopeonline.org.
