I just read some of the history of the GPHC airport lawsuit. My wife Marge and I owned and operated Park Hill Drug from 1977/78 to 1987 when we closed it and moved to a location near the airport. I was on the Board during these times and I remember all of the names vividly. Marge and I still own a pharmacy, now on Lopez Island, WA and have been here since 1994. From time to time we have visitors from the old neighbor come to Lopez, but it takes some doing to get here.

I just read the cover “story” for the April 2016 issue of the paper and was dismayed to find out that Dick Youg was allowed to publish nothing more than an opinion piece on the so called “demise” of City Park Golf Course. The course is not and I repeat is not going away, but will actually get an added water feature as part of the drainage project. This additional area for storm capture is common and it will eliminate having to take more homes. Disgusting that this gets published as news and is factually incorrect. Very disappointed
