Go Green and Get Involved with Sustainability


Park Hill Welcomed into Sustainable Neighborhoods Program
We did it! Thank you to everyone who supported the petition for Park Hill to become a sustainable neighborhood. We are over the first hurdle. Now the real work will begin to take shape.
Greater Park Hill will focus on sustainability initiatives that help neighbors reduce their ecological footprint through:

  • Identifying and addressing barriers to walking, biking, and transit use through educational workshops, neighborhood walks and rides, and continued audits
  • Establishing a zero-waste mentality in the neighborhood by encouraging residents to reduce the waste the create and to properly dispose of what they can’t reduce through recycling, composting, and donation
  • Promoting low and no-cost ways for neighbors and local businesses to conserve energy and opt for renewable energy sources when possible
